Office design, fit-out and refurbishment specialist Morgan Lovell has made several appointments to its southern team. Adrian Norman has been appointed as head of design in Bracknell, re-joining Morgan Lovell having been with the firm from 2005 to 2014. Norman has 20 years’ experience in design and build, providing innovative and creative design solutions. and specialises in sustainable office design. Also in Bracknell, Petra O’Shea has been promoted to head of sales for the Southern region. She has over 14 years’ experience in direct sales, business development and sales leadership. Joining her sales team is Sophie Williams, who has been appointed as a business account manager. In Bracknell and London, Christopher Allen (formerly of CBRE Global Workplace Solutions) joins as head of workplace consulting. He has 25 years’ experience as a strategist, innovation champion and transformational change leader in highly complex environments.
Whitley Stimpson, one of the largest independent accountancy practice and business advisers in the region, has underlined its continued success by recruiting 17 new members of staff so far this year. In announcing the new arrivals, human resources manager Tracy Williams said: “This year’s recruitment reflects the growth of the company. The appointments range from managerial posts, support for some of our specialisations and graduate and college trainees.“ The appointments will boost performance at all four offices at Banbury, Bicester, High Wycombe and Witney and add to the company’s growth from 61 employees four years ago to 92 this year.
David Wilson Homes Southern is strengthening in its commercial team. Three employees within the Hungerford-based company’s head office have been promoted within the department, following their hard work in the team. Darren Braidwood (left) has been promoted to commercial manager after 21 years with the company, with his most recent role having been senior surveyor. He is now responsible for managing the commercial team, controlling costs, supporting other departments, and overseeing the surveyors’ cost management of sites. Jack Lillywhite (centre), from Lambourn, Berkshire, and Jonathon Bevan (right), from Wiltshire, have also both been promoted from trainee surveyors to assistant surveyors. Their new roles involve processing subcontract issues.
Property advisers, Vail Williams LLP, has grown its property asset management team with the appointment of new associate Stephanie Edwards. Specialising in landlord and tenant, insurance and property asset management matters, Edwards joins from Surrey-based property management specialists Pearce & Company, and brings with her many years of expertise in the management of mixed-use developments acting for varied commercial portfolios containing retail, offices, industrial units and open storage yards. Edwards joins the firm’s office in Reading.
Specialist IT, data privacy and cybersecurity law firm Clayden Law, has appointed data privacy solicitor Anna Clayden, to join its team based in Oxford. Clayden has joined Clayden Law having spent 17 years as in-house counsel at BP, which she joined following a number of years at leading, multinational firm Ashursts. Having specialised exclusively on data privacy matters for approximately eight years, while at BP, she will be advising Clayden Law’s clients on all areas of data privacy law.
KPMG has made 34 promotions at its Thames Valley office, including the appointment of two directors, signalling the firm’s commitment to investing in talent. Sami Fairris (left), leading KPMG’s Corporate Finance practice across the region, has been promoted to director after 12 years with the firm. James Keclik (right) takes up his new role as director in the pensions function after eight years in KPMG’s Thames Valley office. A further 32 employees have been promoted to senior manager, manager, and assistant manager level.

Thames Valley national and international law firm Boyes Turner has expanded its commercial and technology team with the addition of Helen Dobson. Dobson joins from national firm Osborne Clarke, where she worked with domestic and international clients on the technology, transport and retail sectors. Her experience includes advising on technology transactions spanning SaaS arrangements, in-car internet, and commuter information services, as well as the exploitation of intellectual property and data protection. Dobson joins a team which includes partners Mark Blunden, Bill Gornall-King and Sarah Williamson, to advise clients on their commercial deals.
