Fall 2017 Lee McGehee Police Officer of the Year


This award recognizes police officers from small, medium and large agencies who have demonstrated excep- tional achievement and shown a genuine commitment to their profession, their agency and the public they serve. The award is name in honor of Chief Lee McGehee who was a Life Member of the Florida Police Chiefs Association and served as President from 1989-1990 and as the Association’s Parliamentarian. Chief McGehee was an accomplished academician and law enforcement visionary who made a significant differ- ence not only as a police practitioner but an educator who had a passion and talent for developing and pre- paring future police leaders.
