LOS ANGELES/ORANGE COUNTY:
HALLOWEENIE XII: REBIRTH Feeling like you need a little recharge to get you out of that deadly
rut? Well boys and girls, Dr. Frankenstein has a table waiting for you! It’s time to scare up a little fun with Halloweenie XI onFriday, October 27, for what promises to be one shocking night! This mega-party features ghouls, ghosts and gorgeous guys and gals, outfitted in craziest cos- tumes each year at some of the most amazing locations throughout Los Angeles. As they say at GMCLA, Halloweenie is a “Party with a purpose,” with event proceeds going to benefit GMCLA’s programmatic work, including: Alive Music Project and the “It Gets Better Tour.” Sponsored by Kevin Huvane, power agent and managing partner of Creative Artists Agency, for its twelfth annual fete he and GMCLA are proud to announce their fabulous new location, the classic Belasco Theater in Downtown L.A.! Look for DJ Hector Fonseca, DJ Blacklow and Max Bruce to spin you into a dance death spiral. Halloweenie is a costume-required event… So don’t be a weenie and show up un-Hallowed. Trust me, all you wanna-be witches, bitches, and ghouls, you better bring your costume “A” game, because landing here with anything less, will have you boiling in humiliation’s oil! Feel like your fright-night’s not complete? Mayhem 4 is taking place right next door at the historic Mayan Theatre, just a couple short blocks from Halloweenie. With DJ Alyson Calagna at the helm, it’s the “official” afterhours reason to party until dawn! For individual tickets, combo passes and more information, go to

DROP DEAD GOREGEOUS Feeling a little out-of-sorts? Perhaps a bit piqued and hungry for human…interaction? Maybe The Walking Dead’s zombie apocalypse you’ve been binge watching has become a little too real for you? Maybe last night’s bite mark left by that exceedingly pale, yet compelling man was a little more than you bargained for? It’s nothing that a little fresh life blood can’t fix— along with a touch of makeup—or in this case more accurately—a truckload. Maybe skip the eating- the-human-flesh-part and drag yourself down to Velvet Lounge for a non-hominid-based hot meal featuring a bevy of bloodcurdling babes made up as your favorite doyenne’s of terror? It’s called Drop Dead GOREgeous, Velvet Lounge’s Dinner and Drag extravaganza, filled with a cast of freaks just dying to lock you up in their mad house drag show. For Halloween 2017 creep out at SoCal’s leading dinner theater drag produc- tion Velvet Lounge’s Drop Dead GOREgeous, Dinner and Drag, with performances through Sunday, November 5. These ladies will make you scream louder than a RuPaul queen who has had her wig snatched! For tickets and more information, call 714.277.4492 or go to

WEHO HALLOWEEN CARNAVAL Michael Jackson’s homage to the spirit of Halloween couldn’t be more popular today, “It’s close to midnight and something evil’s lurking in the dark. Under the moonlight you see a sight that almost stops your heart…” And in this case, the evil is lurking right along West Hollywood’s Santa Monica Boulevard between Doheny Drive and La Cienega Boulevard! The WeHo Halloween Carnaval is designated as the largest Halloween street party in the world, attracting more than 500,000 people and for 2017 the event features six stages of entertainment. It’s an all-ages event (though it might not the best environment for children and pets), no alcohol on street, though there are plenty of participating bars open! So really, do you have any better place to be onTuesday, October 31? The crowds are filled with heart-stopping scary characters, as only the Hollywood machine can produce but then again who better to “thrill you more than any ghoul would ever dare try…” than Tinsel Town’s finest? You won’t be disappointed with more than 500,000 souls—in in- numerable costumed regalia—swarming Santa Monica Boulevard for the craziest “All Hallows’ Eve” street fair, ever. This annual party features a Halloween Costume Contest with a crowning of the honorary “Queen of the Carnaval,” along with special guest performances and star sightings everywhere. Bring out your “A” game when it comes to your costume girls and boys, cuz’ the competition will be horrifying! For more information go to
