Lawyer is flying high
The sky was the limit for Christine Bunting, a director of Swindon-based Court of Protection law firm, Hyphen Law last week as she took on a daredevil stunt to raise funds for Cerebra, a charity which helps children and young people with brain-related conditions. On 4 August, gutsy Christine,
who has a fear of heights, bravely climbed onto the wing of a 1940s Boeing Stearman biplane, was strapped on, and in the experienced hands of a pilot from the famous Breitling Wing Walking team, was flown across the Gloucestershire countryside at speeds of up to 135mph as she wing-walked. Colleagues, friends and family
watched in awe as the skilled pilot took Christine through a series of heart-stopping aerobatics with low level fly pasts and dives. Speaking immediately after she
was safely back on solid ground Christine said: “That was by far the most terrifying but incredible experience I have ever had. It was a challenge I decided on in the winter months when I was trying to think of something that people

would pay me to do. It seemed like a good idea at the time but I have to admit when I was getting ready to leave, I was having some second thoughts. However I was determined to complete the wing walk for Cerebra and help as many young people with neurological conditions as possible. The young people and their family’s that Cerebra support face huge challenges every single day so a wing walk for 20 minutes pales in
comparison – even though it did seem like the longest 20 minutes of my life.” Speaking of her wing walk,
Christine added: “Would I do it again? For Cerebra – yes, absolutely. For fun? Maybe when the memory fades a little. The great thing was the team at AeroSuper Batics who, despite my fears, made me feel very safe.”
