INDUSTRY NEWS Innovations at RWM 2017 T
he UK’s leading innovative companies are set to showcase ground-breaking products and services from the resource sector at Innovation City during RWM 2017 in partnership with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, England, from 12- 14 September.
Innovation City is hosted by Innovate UK, an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (DBEIS). Located in Hall Four at RWM 2017, Innovation City exhibitors include companies such as MDF Recovery Ltd, which specialises in a ground-breaking proprietary process to recover
wood fibre from waste MDF.
Innovation City will also be the platform for presentations and debates from the UK’s most forward-thinking companies, while visitors and exhibitors can also discover the investment opportunities available from Innovate UK and DBEIS.
As well as Innovation City, other key features at RWM 2017 include the RWM Connects Lounge in Hall Four, a complimentary match-making service allowing exhibitors and visitors to use the RWM database to arrange meetings prior to the show. Hall Four also hosts the CIWM Resource and Waste Clinic, which will see industry experts available over the course of the show to offer advice and insight. The UK’s Department for International Trade is also returning to Hall Four to provide visitors and exhibitors the opportunity to gain insight and advice about exporting products and internationalising their business. Nicola Meadows, RWM Event Director, Ascential, stated, “Innovation lies at the heart of RWM 2017 – cutting edge technology and services are constantly pushing the boundaries of resource efficiency. With over 450 exhibitors and 11,000 visitors, RWM 2017 is the only place that the energy, water, waste and recycling markets can truly collaborate
towards building a more resource- efficient future for One Planet Living”. More information from
