From Wellington, Florida, Jimmy has ridden for the USET in multiple World Cup finals. He also wins in hunter derbies. Throughout his career, Jimmy says he’s had some very good horses. “I’m lucky,” he says. “I have four good jumpers right now. Day Dream (Zento x Heartbreaker preferent), I got as a six-year-old. He’s won several Grands Prix already. At nine, he has a bright future.” He rates Day Dream as probably one of the best horses
he’s had. “He is very careful and has a lot of blood. In the big championships, you need a horse that will go several days. He’s a real blood horse and can go several days in a week. He’s a horse that can jump to the top of the sport.” The 2008 KWPN gelding competed at the 2013 FEI
World Breeding Jumping Championship in Lanaken, Belgium, with Willem Greve. He tied for first in the five- year-old Table A 1.25 meters. “My agent in Europe said, ‘I have your next horse.’ He’s
very light—light off the ground—and extremely careful. It was what I saw and what he saw in the horse. He was shown at four, five, and six, and to this day the horse has remained very careful,” Jimmy says. He also describes the horse’s jumping style as posi-
tive and very confident, noting how he respects the jumps and doesn’t want to touch the poles at all. “He did jump the World Cup qualifier last year at the National Horse Show, and had only four faults. That was a lot for an

“Yes, for sure he jumps meter 60,” says Jimmy. “He’s got
a great record so far since he started jumping big classes. He tries not to make any mistakes. If he has a pole down, it’s usually my mistake.” Owned by Jimmy and Danielle Torano, Day Dream is
33 percent Thoroughbred. His sire Zento (Quasimodo Z x Caletto II) has Quidam de Revel and Cor de la Bryere on that side. Zento’s dam Viola VI also produced the top jumper Cento. Day Dream’s damsire is Heartbreaker (Nimmerdor x Silvano).
