The Krishna Indian Restaurant, established in 1990, is housed in a beautiful 15thC Tudor building with low oak beams that instantly


creates a warm ambience. The cuisine is mainly North Indian. Liz, the Proprietor, who has run the restaurant for over 25 years, says "We do try to cater for everyone. Bestsellers include Kerala Chicken cooked with popped mustard seeds, curry leaf and coconut milk and Lamb Bhuna made with fresh Kentish lamb sourced from our local butcher, in a thick flavoursome sauce. Our Light and Healthy section is also very popular.


17th Century country pub, The Hop Pole Inn is located in the small village of Nettlestead Green, with stunning views across the heart of Kent. Very much still a traditional pub, it also boasts a large conservatory dining area, and a beautiful, recently landscaped sheltered beer garden with swings and a slide for children. Mark and Kirsty pride themselves on their freshly cooked food, the carvery and a la carte menu are available Monday to Saturday, (Sunday carvery only). Try one of their real ales, or a glass of quality wine from their fine selection.
