ALL THE FUN OF THE FAIR!


The Weald of Kent Handmade Fair (formerly Weald of Kent Craft & Design Show) will pitch its marquees within the gorgeous grounds of Penshurst Place from 29th April until 1st May, bringing with it exquisite British craft, beautiful plants and accessories for the garden, luxury food and drink stalls and activities for the whole family. Visitors to the fair can browse


more than 250 stands of unique wares and enjoy activities throughout the weekend while indulging in fl avoursome food, live music and on-stand craft demonstrations. To top off the day of sights, tastes and activities, including archery and terrier racing, the fascinating Birds and Beasts Roadshow returns this year and is not to be missed. With the incredible views and the


gorgeous greenery of Penshurst Place, with room to run around in the spring sunshine, or time to enjoy workshops, Weald of Kent Handmade Fair truly is a special day out for the whole family to enjoy this May Bank Holiday. • Open daily from 10am-5pm, tickets cost £10 for adults (£8 in advance), seniors £9 (£7 in advance) and children under 16 free if accompanied by a parent, otherwise £4. The Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells has a double bill of family entertainment this month. First up, on Wednesday 5th at 2pm and 4pm (relaxed performance) is Goldilocks & the Three Bears. Bringing this classic children’s story to life, the performance is the perfect opportunity for your little ones to enjoy live ballet, music and theatre for the fi rst time.
