A Spa Experience


Tai Spa, a charming oasis in Merida’s Colonia Monte Cristo, begins to work its magic upon first entering. Soft music and the scent of fresh flowers evoke an inviting, tranquil atmosphere while the friendly, professional staff immediately puts one at ease.


After check-in, I was led up a candlelit staircase to the second floor changing room where I slipped into a robe before entering one of the private treatment rooms. Aglow with flickering candles, the modern yet warm ambience set the perfect tone for what was to be a blissful hour.


My Swedish massage began with a touch of aromatherapy. A few deep inhales


of


increase my sense of relaxation. The heated towels and mini-massage on my tired feet were especially welcome.


This was a relaxing treatment and not intensive muscle work.

profound or therapeutic approach, Tai Spa offer a number of options including reflexology, lymphatic drainage and an overall wellness massage.


Tai Spa also offers an array of other beauty and wellness services. A nail salon on the first floor is equipped with cozy chairs and features everything from a basic manicure or to
