Este mes de septiembre tuve la suerte de poder asistir a la 8ª Entrega Anual Global Spa & Wellness Summit, una reunión de 400 líderes de spa de todo el mundo. La cumbre se celebró en la inolvidable ciudad de Marrakech, Marruecos. Durante el evento de 3 días, hemos escuchado de los mejores expertos en economía, arquitectura, comercio, tecnología, viajes y por supuesto el bienestar. El tema de ‘Fast Forward’ fue ciertamente apropiado, ya que tomamos un vistazo al futuro de nuestra industria y vimos cómo el mundo se va a desarrollar y cómo serán el spa esencial y bienestar. La Cumbre concluyó con el emocionante anuncio de que vamos a convocar el Global Spa & Wellness Summit 2015 en la Ciudad de México!
Uno de los muchos temas interesantes que tocamos en la cumbre fue el hecho de que los viajeros de hoy en día están buscando experiencias auténticas en lugar de los tratamientos de spa genéricos que se podrían encontrar en cualquier lugar. Nuestro artículo de fondo, aportado por Jackie Burns Brisman, Senior Editor, Spafinder Wellness 365™ destaca precisamente este tema, y algunos de los spas en México y en otros lugares que están dando estas experiencias únicas.
Una vez más tengo el placer de anunciar los 25 mejores spas de México 2014. De nuevo la tarea de elegir qué spa logra la lista fue difícil, con tantas grandes opciones para elegir y más nuevos spas abren cada año estamos felices de decir que el calibre en México sigue aumentando. This September I was lucky enough to be able to attend the 8th Annual Global Spa & Wellness Summit, a gathering of 400 spa leaders from around the world. The summit was held in the unforgettable city of Marrakech, Morocco. During the 3 day event, we heard from top experts in economics, architecture, retail, technology, travel and of course wellness. The theme of ‘Fast Forward’ was certainly fitting as we took a glimpse into the future of our industry and saw how the world will develop and how essential spa and wellness will be. The Summit ended with the exciting announcement that we will reconvene for the 2015 Global Spa & Wellness Summit in Mexico City!
One of the many interesting themes we took from the summit was the fact that travelers today are looking for authentic experiences rather than generic spa treatments that could be found anywhere. Our feature article, contributed by Jackie Burns Brisman, Senior Editor, Spafinder Wellness 365™ highlights exactly this theme, and some of the spas in Mexico and elsewhere that are delivering these unique experiences.
Once again I am pleased to announce the 25 Best Spas of Mexico 2014. Yet again the task of choosing which spas make the list was a difficult one, with so many great choices to select from and more new spas opening each year we’re happy to say the caliber in Mexico continues to rise. Congratulations to our 25 winners of this prestigious award.
