Scott Fitzgerald Isopleth, 2014

Projection, custom software, computer, camera

Scott Fitzgerald’s work explores the transition between the physical and digital world, using new technologies as expressive tools. Fitzgerald’s piece, “Isopleth,” or “equal in quantity” refers to a term often used in geography and meteorology describing a line on a map that connects places with similar attributes. The large wall projection reacts to the viewer, the image adapting and changing as viewers move in front of it. He combines notions of film, video, interactivity and play in a work that is constantly changing. This is the public debut of Isopleth.
