ith plans in place to expand his sales, service and instal- lation business, Darren Thomas, owner of Audio Works of Delaware, has started the process by putting the right people in place with two new hires.


“We recently brought in A.J. Rivera, who has been in the


industry for 10 years, and Jason Fornito, who also just joined us. He was recently with Best Buy and has two to three years experience,” said Thomas. “A.J. is the tenth specialist we have hired with experience in installations. I would definitely clas- sify him as a master installer. Jason is one of our regular car audio installers.” Based in Newark, Del., Audio Works has been in business since 1996, and offers a wide range of services from installations of multimedia systems to custom car rims and tires. The build- ing has 900 square feet of retail space and 1,580 square feet of garage, including a double bay and a single bay for installations. “We are in the process now of tripling our square footage,”


said Thomas regarding the shop’s showroom area. “We are increasing our retail space to 2,980 square feet. The garage is going to remain the same.” The key to that expansion, according to Thomas, has been a


focus on customer service. “That is what keeps a business in busi- ness today,” he said. “The way that we handle our sales is to show everyone who comes in one of our installations. We offer free Ø
