knew I wanted to meditate and my goal was to find peace. I began taking classes at the Cen-
ter in 2011 and completed all the basic classes. I continued with the Teacher Training to get to an even deeper place and be able to share with others. Yes, I did find peace and so much more! I recently graduated as a teacher at the Center so now I’d like to share what I’ve learned and help others along their journey.” Join Mosso on Tuesday mornings from 11 a.m. to noon for an hour of guided meditation. This course of meditations will run from September 3 through October 8. There will be no class fee for these meditations though donations for the Center are appreciated. “Please pass the word to anyone you know who is facing a serious illness and encourage them to join us for these meditations,” invites Mosso.

EarthGift Soap Mission for the Sensitive
here is a plethora of products for our bod- ies in the marketplace; from commercially manufactured to naturally handmade. Some of the most usual and mundane can make all the difference in the world. That’s what EarthGift Herbals owner and Artisan-in-Chief, Asaera Patricia Cote,’ discovered in her own personal journey to health. “I paid no attention to what I used on my body. I felt fairly good, ate relatively well, exercised reasonably and then, quite unexpectedly, I got very sick,” recounts Cote’. “My immune sys- tem diminished to the point of disappearing.” “And worse; there was no information readily available to help me understand why everything that came into contact with my skin was irritating and uncomfortable….this in no way seemed related to the bacterial pneumonia I was battling.” In time she understood that personal products can create an ac- cumulated negative effect which illnesses, whether chronic or acute, can catalyze. Thus began a quest for a non-irritating cleansing soap and a commitment to educating others. “There was no ‘me’ for me at that time,” she recalls. “I was determined to find a solution and to get the word out about what I discovered.” EarthGift crafts an artisanal soap from all-organic ingredients using a proprietary process without palm oil derivatives—the hardening (and drying) component found in most other soaps. “Every effort is given to create the purest products,” says Cote’, “beautiful, sustainable…earth and skin friendly.” Cote’ can be found offering her soap at local farmer’s markets, fairs and festivals. She can also be found at her new ‘petite retail’ space at the Wyoming Professional Building in Al- buquerque (3620 Wyoming NE just north of Comanche) every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Private appointments are also available for other days.
