WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS

UV specialists atg UV can offer a range of systems including the ECF Ultraviolet disinfection system

Photon UV products are backed up by the next generation SwimLine UV system which was developed after extensive research and pools trials and is re-engineered to provide lower capital and operating costs than previous UV systems.

It offers two fold protection for pool operators: water disinfection and removing combined chlorines. The product can be incorporated into existing water treatment systems or can be included from the start into new builds. It is available in a range of configurations, from axial and in-line to u-shaped, making it perfect for any size of pool and every kind of plant layout. Like other UV systems, the SwimLine dramatically reduces the amount of chlorine required. There is less backwashing and dilution, less waste and notably purer water. The air around the pool is also much more pleasant. Hi-tech sensors and a microprocessor controlled computer interface give unprecedented control over the system – even from remote locations. Continuous UV monitoring and energy optimisation mean the system is more efficient and economical to run, while built-in alarms warn of low UV, power failures or other changes. The SwimLine uses Hanovia’s UVlux, broad spectrum UV arc tubes as standard and automatic wipers keep the quartz sleeves housing the UV arc tubes clean. In fact the only regular maintenance required is an annual service at which point the UV lamp is changed, however for total peace of mind, the company can offer anything from a break- down call-out to a full maintenance and service contract.

INDEPENDENT VALIDATIONS CERTIFY EFFECTIVENESS OF ATG SYSTEMS

Many leisure operators are now installing UV systems as standard to ensure water does not pose a risk to public health.

UV specialists atg UV can offer a range of systems, that have been designed and engineered specifically to suit the needs of the swimming and leisure industry, catering for a range of aquatic applications ranging from spa’s and diving pools to splash pads and full scale water theme parks. All atg UV Technology swimming pool systems come with UV intensity monitoring, automatic wipers systems, half to full power stepping, strainer baskets and atg UV’s leading SPECTRA Control panel as standard. The company offers independent validation of its systems with testing performed in accordance with the NSF/EPA ETV – Generic Protocol for Development of Test/Quality Assurance Plans for UV disinfection systems.

This allows atg to certify their systems will provide a 99.9% kill or greater of cryptosporidium in a single pass, whilst improving water and air quality to the reduction of problem chloramines. The company has more systems validated to the US EPA UVGM standard than any other Medium Pressure UV System manufacturer. This provides atg UV Technology with the ability to offer independently tested UV systems that are future proof against regulations that could demand all systems used on swimming pools are required

to be validated.

In addition, the company recently announced that they are to standardise their swimming pool UV systems to be fully compliant with a United States based Model Aquatic Health Code regulation which offers pre-set options tailored to the specific needs of swimming pool operators and offers increased value for swimming pool operators with guaranteed performance and reliability.
