Dröm UK’s Amazing New Showroom In Surrey Is Unveiled The showroom, which can be visited by appointment, displays

A launch party was in aid of Oasis Childcare to mark the occasion. Wandering through the stunning


roomsets to violin music, key customers, press and suppliers enjoyed a drinks reception. The raffle prizes included a Porsche race day, a magnum of ‘gold’ champagne, a champagne tea-for-two at Coworth Park, a spa day at Foxhills Hotel and Resort and a round of golf at Wisley – amongst others!

Barr + Wray Dive Into £4M Center Parcs UK Contract Swimming pool and luxury spa provider Barr + Wray has landed its second contract with family short break provider Center Parcs UK and will fit the water treatment facilities at the new £250m holiday village at Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire. Fresh from its work at Center Parcs


Elveden Forest in Suffolk, Barr + Wray will provide all of the pool filtration and water treatment plants and pumping equipment for seven large freeform pools located in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise at Woburn Forest as part of the £4m contract. The contract will see Barr + Wray deliver all of the pumping, pipework and controls for the flumes, water play structures and water features, as well as the filtration and water treatment systems for the pool in the spa, pumping equipment for the water and air features, pipework and controls.


Center Parcs Woburn Forest is expected to open in spring 2014 and will create around 1,500 permanent jobs once it is up and running. Center Parcs intends to find the

majority of staff from the local area in Bedfordshire. Barr + Wray has been appointed to the job by main contractor, Derbyshire-based Bowmer & Kirkland. Lorne Kennedy, European Pools and Spas Sales Director at Barr + Wray said: “This contract is one of the largest we’ve ever won and is a real endorsement of the work Barr + Wray has undertaken with Center Parcs.


“This contract at Woburn Forest allows us to demonstrate how we can tackle a large-scale new build project.


“This is a significant undertaking and we are working on the design of the job now


before starting on site in early 2013.” Don Camilleri Center Parcs Woburn Construction Director said: “The Subtropical Swimming Paradise is an iconic part of Center Parcs in the UK and has been for more than 25 years. It was important we selected a provider that we trusted to keep the water flowing every day of the year and did so whilst minimising energy usage.”


Once work commences, Barr + Wray expects its team of up to 16 installation engineers to be on site for around 12 - 18 months.


Earlier this year, Barr + Wray was awarded the £700,000 contract to refurbish and retile the massive freeform pool at Center Parcs


Elveden Forest, as well as to create a new warm water pool, install two filtration systems and add new water features, including a new iconic Tropical Cyclone water ride – the first of its kind in the UK.
