from BISHTA and SPATA COVERING THE COMMERCIAL SECTOR AT A SUCCESSFUL LIW


SPATA exhibited again at this important industry show and Alba / SB Pools were co-located with SPATA on a shared stand. With a number of other SPATA members exhibiting at LIW and with Aquamat also in close proximity to the SPATA stand, there was guaranteed humour and collaboration from the companies present!


The commercial audience present at LIW can potentially provide new contacts to be made to supplement those that already attend SPATEX and SPATA will be seeking to attend LIW next year. Any members that may be interested in exhibiting at this event should contact the SPATA office. LIW provided a platform for PWTAG to update attendees on their Code of Practice and there had been a number of comments provided on the draft material that was being considered in finalising the document. The STA (BSPF members) were also at LIW to promote some of the services that they can offer the wet leisure trade and they (along with PWTAG) will be at SPATEX to give further updates on their respective work.


SPATA AND MEMBERS RAISE PROFILE AT GRAND DESIGNS LIVE


Having had the support of members every day at the London retail show in May, the three day event in Birmingham was again supported by SPATA members. Portrait Pools and Alba / SB Pools attended and were able to meet potential customers to demonstrate the value of choosing their company, in addition to reinforcing their SPATA membership. Other members were also able to benefit, where potential customers could


not be dealt with by either of the members present at the show, the lead was passed onto the SPATA office, where details of relevant members was provided.


SPATA believes it is important to promote the


industry to consumers and by attending the most appropriate shows, such as Grand Designs Live, this is more likely to get the right level of exposure for our products and services. However, the stand was approached not only by customers looking to splash out on lifestyle shopping, but architects who were looking to make new contacts and visited the SPATA stand to chat to the members.
