A consortium which includes US-based entertainment giant Paramount Pictures has unveiled plans to create a £2bn visitor attraction on the North Kent coast. Plans for the 872-acre
development site, on the Swanscombe Peninsula, include a Paramount-branded entertainment resort and lei- sure district as part of what is being billed as “Europe’s leading entertainment des- tination”. Crowd-sourcing service Kickstarter enters UK
US-based crowd-sourcing website Kickstarter will make its services available to UK entrepreneurs on 31 October. Te launch of Kickstarter UK - announced first in a tweet earlier this year - will allow small businesses and entrepreneurs to launch their creative ventures and projects using funding acquired through the public investing in them. Launched in 2009 by Perry Chen,
