This attractive top-fl oor apartment in Cabo Roig is within easy walking distance of local shops, restaurants, bars, golf and the beach. Situated inside a gated community, it is close to one of four communal swimming pools. Inside, it comprises a lounge/ diner with patio doors leading to the balcony, fi tted kitchen, bathroom and two double bedrooms. The large solarium, which has an in-built barbecue, is reached by an internal staircase, underneath which there is a storeroom. Cabo Roig, a few kilometres south of Torrevieja, has a small marina and two main beaches – Cala Capitan and Cala Caleta – while beaches at Playa Flamenca and La Zenia are also very close. The resort’s own strip has a selection of restaurants, bars and a weekly market.
THEY LIKE: • We love the solarium with the barbecue and views – perfect for the sort of evenings we enjoy.
• Being able to reach amenities and the beach without getting in a car is a defi nite plus.
• It comes fully furnished, and from the pictures looks nicely kitted out. • Surely it has good rental appeal.
THEY DISLIKE: • There’s nothing really that’s not to like, but we would need to check the community fees especially as there are four pools to maintain.

This apartment in one of Villamartin’s prettiest areas is less than 10 minutes’ walk from shops and restaurants, while the beach is just a fi ve-minute drive away and golf even closer. Being on the ground fl oor means it comes with a private garden. The living space comprises a covered entrance porch, a lounge/ diner with an open fi replace, a kitchen with separate utility room, two double bedrooms and a family bathroom. Villamartin is essentially a golfi ng community set around its own Villamartin championship course, and next to the other courses of Campoamor and Las Ramblas. While it’s just inland of the coastal resorts of Cabo Roig and La Zenia, Villamartin’s central plaza has more than 40 restaurants offering a range of cuisines.
THEY LIKE: • From the description and pictures of the communal gardens, with the little stream, it’s set in nice surroundings.
• The fi replace gets the thumbs-up from us – we love open fi res. • The golf community should give the property extra rental appeal.
THEY DISLIKE: • We would like to be hassle-free, and having a garden will involve extra maintenance.
• We would like a private solarium, which this property doesn’t have. • The beach is close, but it’s a shame it’s not close enough to walk to.
