Farmers Market There’s a new farmers mar-
ket in Jefferson County. The Bakerton Farmers Market is open Fridays into October, said Wanda Mason-Ballenger. The market is located at 834 Cart- er Ave., Harpers Ferry, and it can be contacted by calling 304-876-6280. The market will sell locally-grown produce, lo- cal teas, vinegars, handmade soaps and whatever else farm- ers or vendors want to bring.
Cougars at the Pool Support Jefferson High
Marching Band, Wednesday, August 10 from 6–9pm at the Jefferson Memorial Pool in
Charles Town. They’re plan- ning a fun evening of swim- ming, food and music. Admis- sion is $5 per person. Food, drinks, and band merchandise will be available for purchase as well. Join the “Cougars at the Pool” to help raise money for much needed uniforms.
