Volunteer Coordinator Salary: £23,000 - £24,800 37.5 Hours Per Week. Based on qualifi cation & experience Fixed Term Contract until 31/3/2012 - will involve evening and weekend work.

The role of this post will be to lead a programme of Accredited Sports Leadership, Coach Education training and Volunteer opportunities for young people aged 14-25 in Islington, Haringey and Hackney. This will involve supporting young people from training into volunteering as well as helping to support the development of new and existing local sports organisations.

There will be a particular focus upon increasing participation amongst groups who are under-represented in current sporting provision including BME groups, People on Low incomes, and young women.

You will need: • A passion for sport • A commitment to improving opportunities for young people. • A background in youth, sports or community development is essential as is a commitment to developing opportunities for local people and groups. • A track record of project delivery and partnership working. • Experience of working in a diverse inner-city setting.

Senior Duty Managers Ref: NAC/040/10 £24,646 - £27,849 + enhancements for evening/weekend work 37 hours per week (based on a 3-week rota)

Following a major restructure of the Leisure and Wellbeing service, an exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic and committed leisure professionals to join the dynamic management teams at two of our facilities.

Leisure in Warrington is changing to reflect a neighbourhood approach to delivery through the provision of co-located services within a portfolio of Neighbourhood and Community Hubs. One vacancy is at the town’s inaugural Neighbourhood Hub in Woolston which is presently undergoing a refurbishment programme to incorporate a library, children’s centre and Doctor’s surgery into the existing leisure centre. The other vacancy is at Fordton Leisure Centre which will be replaced by the £30m Orford Park Community Sports Hub facility which is due to open in early 2012.

You will be directly responsible for the centres’ management team, the team of staff and all aspects of the centres operation. These are active front line management role’s working on a shift-based system which includes early mornings, evening and weekend work as required to ensure the success of the business.

You will have excellent communication skills together with high standards of customer care, good organisation and leadership skills as well as a proven track record of developing staff and making a meaningful difference to a leisure offer.

You must demonstrate the ability to forge working relationships with existing and new partners, creating links within the Neighbourhood Area and, working with these partners to promote the Leisure and Wellbeing service within the community.
