STUDENTS OF the Master Storyteller’s Christian Drama School.

Performing arts students perform in The Master Storyteller’s

Christian Drama School works with children from all walks of life. Many students are ex- perienced in performing arts and others are not. The school helps students develop good speech habits, feel confident in oral presentations, create an outlet of self-expression and assists in establishing strong, positive images.

Through programs, stu-

dents are able to participate in poetry, music, dance and

radio/TV broadcasting. The students recently performed in a recital. Students, ages 6-16, will apply the skills learned in their respective classes, using Biblical principles.

The Master Storyteller’s

Christian Drama School per- formers are:

Rebecca Jacobson, Mykeala

Moore, Kamryn Calloway, Kyle Calloway, Tamia Calloway, Joshua Sherrell, Cliff Andre, Paige Hall, Raven Smith, Ma- laysia Hagg, Kayla Dixon and

es invites the public to attend its annual dinner fundraiser at the Laurel Banquet Center in Livonia on Friday, Sept. 10, at 6 p.m. The dinner will feature Linda E. Swanson, vice presi- dent, Swanson Funeral Home, as mistress of ceremonies. Two academic scholarship

will be presented to at-risk youth attending college. The community service award is going to Jane Elizabeth Jones, former City of Detroit senior aide project director and com- munity activist.

The theme, “Dancing in September,” signifies a ‘light’

subject in a seemingly ‘dark- ened’

local and worldwide

bleakness while focusing on a positive outlook for at-risk youth.
