Private-jet specialist seeks UK agents

An aggregator of worldwide private-jet tours is seeking to establish partnerships with UK agents.


Private Jet Tours works with six


operators offering trips on privately owned aircraft: Abercrombie & Kent, Captain’s Choice, Lakani World Tours, TCS World Travel, Travel Guild and Albert Ballin. Gary Bartelings, product and partnership consultant, said raising awareness of private-jet travel was a priority. “One of the challenges the business has is that nobody knows


jet travel exists,” he said. “It’s a great concept but most find it difficult to understand.” Bartelings said the operator


would initially work with only a small number of agents. “Because it’s such a specialist


market, it’s a case of us finding a handful of agents that have the


product training, although they, in turn, might need to help fund product promotions. “We need to clarify whether we

appetite and ability to sell this type of travel,” he added. “It will be a small percentage of the population who can afford this style of holiday.” Bartelings, who was general manager of marketing and international markets for Captain's Choice until May, said agents would be remunerated and offered
