Berkshire Scenic Ry. equipment move

Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum moved a number of items from its headquarters in Lenox, Mass., to the former New York Cen- tral Adams Branch in North Adams, Mass., in November 2014. Among them was BRMX No. 6819, an EMD SW8 built in 1953 for the New York Central as No. 9619 (s/n 16194), seen on January 27, 2015. It later became Penn Central 8619 and Conrail 8619 be- fore it was acquired by BSRM in 1985. The all-volunteer organization is looking for- ward to launching its new Hoosac Valley Service on the Adams Branch later in 2015.
