Nippon Shaſt- A company profile
With 26 Japanese, and 25 overseas subsidiaries, NHK Spring is truly a "player" in worldwide manufacturing
Ever since its release, our top selling model has been a favourite among golfers of all levels, from avid amateur to top tour player. Indeed the NS PRO 950GH S flex was used by
the winner of this year's CIMB Classic on the PGA Tour. With our
existing proprietary alloy and advanced heat treating methods, we were able to reduce weight further to create the NS PRO 750GH, which was the first sub 80 gram constant weight shaſt. This remained as light as we could go until
again, in co-operation with Nisshin Steel, a new alloy, NZNS60 was created, a high carbon, high intensity material that delivers smooth control and performance with strength. With this technological development we were able to create the NS PRO ZELOS 7, now the world's lightest constant weight steel golf shaſt, at an amazing 73.5 grams for the R2 flex. employees, and is where our golf shaſts are produced. There is a smaller plant in Yokohama with around 50 employees where baseball bats are manufactured, baseball being a very popular sport to play and watch in Japan. Nippon Shaſt has, and will continue to push
the boundaries of what is possible in golf shaſt manufacturing and design. Our aim is to bring you the finest possible products, for golfers of all capabilities. The past 15 years have seen Nippon Shaſt lead
the industry in golf shaſt innovations.. In 1999 the NS PRO 950GH was launched, the
first sub 100 gram constant weight shaſt in the world. This feat was achieved using a new NSGS8655V steel alloy - co-developed with Nisshin Steel of Japan.

rigidity delivers full shaſt flexibility from tip to grip, a game changing golf shaſt that enables players to hit high iron shots with unbelievable distance and accuracy. As we strive to make lighter products, the
challenge is of course to make sure that the strength of the shaſt is up to the job! We spent over two years of trial and error in developing our new alloy. We Tested shaſts to destruction, until we
found a new super light-weight material that also offers the strength and tenacity needed to withstand round aſter round of golf. With ZELOS 7 we believe we have a steel golf shaſt that offers satisfaction to last a lifetime!. Around five years ago, Nippon Shaſt made the
decision to go out on the PGA and European tours to promote our products in the professional arena. The NS PRO series of shaſts had already
proved very popular on the LPGA and LET, so it was time to take the next step.
Six prototype "tour" shaſts were manufactured and taken on the PGA tour for players to test. From these six options, three were chosen to promote in our first year. From week one on tour the response was positive, and we had converts using our
products in the first event we attended. Aſter a year on tour of testing and refining, the
MODUS3 Tour 120 was released to market, followed by the MODUS3 Tour 130. As the names suggest, the category for these shaſts is in the 120 gram and 130 gram weight range, both with very different wall construction and playing characteristics. At the time of writing there are currently two
other MODUS3 prototype shaſts still in development on the tours with a MODUS3 Tour 125 being launched in Japan. An OEM tour rep on the PGA tour advised
that when building for players using Nippon Shaſt products, the consistency from shaſt to shaſt meant there was no "over building", meaning that they did not need to re-build clubs because of shaſts not performing as expected, saving valuable time for tour players and OEM support teams! All of the MODUS3 golf shaſts were designed
with the input of tour players, for tour players. The MODUS3 tour series of shaſts is becoming ever popular on the US and European tours. Five years ago we had one player using
Nippon Shaſt on the European Tour. That has increased to over 70 players on the PGA and European Tour who are now playing MODUS3 and WV Wedge shaſts in irons and wedges. When playing a Nippon Shaſt model, you can
be sure you will be playing a shaſt that matches in every way the model played by tour players. Our zero-defect policy means that there is one
