Transportation Driving in the UK

All vehicles must be registered, insured and taxed. If your car is over three years old, you will need to have it tested annually by a garage displaying the MOT testing sign. If satisfied, the garage will issue you with a Ministry of Transport (MOT) certificate which you must display on your windshield.

You can drive in the UK for 12 months if you have a non-European driving license or international driving permit. The UK has agreements with a certain number of ‘designated countries’ which means that if you are from one of these countries you can apply to exchange it for a UK license.

If you are from the EU, your can drive in the UK with the license received from your country until it expires.
