Qinec is a web-based medical practice management business, its software product range streamlines processes such as appointments, bookings, patient record keeping, prescribing and billing.
Matthew has advised Qinec since shortly after its set-up, guiding the company through early stage funding, venture capital investment, management incentivisation and related matters.
The £1.6m investment into Qinec by European technology investors Amadeus and Archimedia will facilitate the expansion of the management team and further development of the product portfolio.
The transaction involved the usual challenges of agreeing mutually acceptable deal terms and then coordinating and corralling a raft of legal documents and disparate signatories, all within a tight timescale.

Cloud-based products such as Qinec’s are the way ahead and it is great to see institutional investment funds providing financial and other support to UK based companies in this space”.
