I had made it happen,” said James Read. “I helped to change people’s perceptions of tanning,” he added. “I wanted it to be seen as fashionable and something that you did all year round rather than being a seasonal thing. I also wanted a tanning expert to be regarded as important as a make-up artist or a hairdresser and I believe that is now the case.” Launched earlier this year at Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge, Te Studio by James Read is a culmination of Read’s experiences in salons, on shoots, in celebrity suites, at awards ceremonies and backstage. It follows on from his first studio, which opened at Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar in Liverpool, and will offer the
same designated tanning menu - the first of its kind to be introduced in the UK. “London is where it all began for me and is at the centre of everything that is fashion and beauty, so it made sense to open a studio here,” said Mr Read. “I have always loved Harvey Nichols and to have my own salon in its flagship store is an amazing dream come true.” He added: “It will offer first class service.
