Sporting chance for MAM Dalet Digital Media Systems By Michael Burns

Dalet is targeting sports broadcasters, professional teams, OB providers and sports production houses with a demonstration of its

complete MAM-driven sports workflows. These include a new version of the Dalet Sports Logger that the company claims will provide maximum flexibility, with no constraints on how users configure the

system or tag their actions. This new logger also supports remote logging.

Collaborative workflows enabled by the new Dalet Xtend connectors for Adobe Premiere, Quantel and EVS are also being showcased on the stand. Dalet claims the Xtend connectors will sustain the

fast-pace of live sports coverage by providing uninterrupted exchanges of media and metadata between the Dalet MAM and industry- standard NLEs. Dalet also provides integrations with external logging systems and servers as well as data feeds for stats.

Short- and long-term production and archiving are simplified by the MAM platform. All the relevant metadata is stored in the Dalet MAM, allowing tasks like searching, browsing and retrieving media to require a few keystrokes, said the company. Dalet added that its MAM workflow engine simplifies the distribution of content to different services, including VoD, OTT, web and mobile devices. 8.B77
