Remittance address to change N

ortheast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative members who mail their payments may notice a change to the address

where payments are sent in the coming days. Tis could hap- pen as early as June 1, according to Susanne Frost, Manager of Office Services for the cooperative. Frost said payments in the future will be mailed to UMB,

a financial institution in Kansas City. Payments previously have been sent for processing to Bank of Oklahoma, or BOK, in Oklahoma City. Te new remittance location address will appear on the

monthly bill as it always has. “Te payment procedure itself will be no different; we just

wanted to make our members aware of the change in location,” said Frost.

Fathers power our community

O

ver 100 children in northeast Oklahoma look up to their fathers—40 feet up. Fathers at Northeast Okla-

homa Electric Cooperative work in rain and snow, day and night, when duty calls. If a storm triggers outages, these fathers don’t play Monopoly by candlelight or tell bedtime stories. Tey charge into the fray to fix what is broken. Some dads work in the eye of the storm. Others take

action behind the scenes in our dispatch center, tracking problems and directing crews to trouble spots. Tey answer calls from members and share the latest information. Working together, these brave men (and strong wom-

en, too) restore power to our community. You can hear their children cheering them on. Te children of Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooper-

ative grow up with men who dedicate their lives to connect- ing neighbors to comfort. It’s not an easy job. Te hours are long, and tasks are dangerous. But the payoff—making life better for all of us—fuels these resilient men. June’s a time to celebrate fathers. Fathers teach their

children to think about the bigger picture, to find a job they’re passionate about that helps the community. Te men of Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative found their calling. Let’s honor the fathers who keep our community

strong. Happy Father’s Day.
