Were specialists in corporate and work knitwear N

ear the top of the garment list for embroiderers supplying corporatewear has to be knitwear, a speciality of Balmoral Knitwear.

Balmoral have launched new market-specific brochures for

their products, including a brochure for the Corporatewear, Workwear and Uniform markets. The new brochure is divided into families of yarns, beginning with their hugely popular Teflon-treated 50% wool 50% acrylic range. Balmoral hold stock of pullovers, sleeveless slipovers and a range of styles of cardigans in wool-acrylic, with no minimum order quantity. Balmorals Mike Carden says: “The most popular cardigans

these days are our fashioned Iona and Melrose cardigans, which we stock in black, charcoal and dark navy. We also frequently make those same styles to order in other shades.” Also available from stock are a range of styles in Balmorals high-quality TPA acrylic, plus 100% wool Nato pullovers. Around 2,500 garments per week are still produced at Balmorals own factory in Scotland, and UK production makes them extremely flexible for bespoke manufacture. Balmoral also have manufacturing partners in Eastern

Europe. “We tend to use our off-shore partners for the larger corporate and workwear contracts, or where they have machinery we do not have in the UK,” Mike says. “We only choose partners who can match our quality and our delivery

reliability. They have to complement the Balmoral brand, and we think thats what they do.” With so few manufacturing specialists left, Balmoral have a

niche in the market for corporate and work knitwear that nobody else quite fills. Balmoral have new garment developments in the pipeline, and you can keep up to date at www.balmoralknitwear.biz or by finding Balmoral on

Facebook. n For more information email Mike Carden and Ian Pollard at info@balmoralsales.co.uk, call 01900 829 229 or visit the website above.
