PA DAY PROGRAMME PA Day is back this year on 21 March, with talks at the Specialist Programme Theatre tailor-made for PA and EA professionals. This will include a session delivered by Penni Pike, former Executive PA to Sir Richard Branson, entitled ‘Becoming indispensable – Sir Richard Branson’s Executive Assistant for 31 years’. Susie Barron-Stubley will also present a
series of seminars with Castalia Coaching. ‘Defining the role of the Executive PA as a business critical role’ talks about the essential skills and behaviours that bring greater depth, influence and responsibility to the job. ‘Understanding emotional intelligence and the dynamics of office politics’ will help you identify what drives you emotionally, and how others may be affected in the office, to help you develop your personal leadership approach and anticipate the emotional impact this has on others. The third talk, ‘Developing and managing successful PA teams to underpin the operations of the management team’, shows that while PAs frequently work in isolation with their executives, bringing them together as a professional structured team improves knowledge, systems and process.
