Sitting in front of my laptop with my
newly released book, Interviewing the Interview’ lying on the table in front of me and my inbox full of potential coaching referrals and enquires, I still can’t believe this is real. I look back on my life and remember the dyslexic teenager, forced to attend a ‘special’ school, predicted to fail not only his GCSEs, but in life. So how did NLP turn my life turn around? After eight years of working in a
positive channel of energy to transform their lives, and that right now on TV there’s a lot of negative. I call it homicides, house fires and heartache. And it’s interesting because I think a majority of people don’t want to watch that. I think that they would prefer to watch things that uplift, that inspire, that give them hope. That may shed light in an area of their lives that they weren’t even aware needed some light. And so that’s the whole concept around The Ripple Effect”, she says. “I call it transformational TV.” Transforming television and the people who watch it is a worthy goal, and with her vow to always move forward, Kristen’s future sure looks bright, and fun too. “The truth of the matter is at the end of the day it’s all joyful. I mean it is fun. We’re just having fun. You know I work in the world of media and TV and we need to keep that light.” b

factory, I knew if I wanted to make a change, I’d have to take on-board the NLP advice if you want a different result, do something different. I started volunteering as a scout leader, youth worker and rest-bite worker for disabled children. As a volunteer I gained loads of skills and experiences which gave me the confidence to apply for paid work and I luckily landed a job as an employment trainer. I had always wanted to write a book, but after my dyslexic childhood, writing for me made me anxious. After a two-day NLP conference where Richard Bandler used hypnotic motivation to inspire all the attendees, I got home a started typing about my two passions – NLP and job interviews.
