Total Machining Center Control The TRAK LPM machining center for low-volume work combines the machine, control, fixturing, and setup into one complete system. It allows the user to reduce setup labor and changeover time

from hours to minutes. ProtoTRAK CNC technology blends with a natural user interface that makes even advanced operations easy. From manual to CNC operation, users have the productivity of a CNC without giving up control of the machine. Low-volume work is different from production work and includes prototypes, tooling, fixtures, molds, and repairs.

Other machine solutions feature ProtoTRAK CNC and include TRAK bed mills, knee mills, and lathes and retrofit products. Southwestern Industries Inc. Ph: 310-608-4422 Web site: www.southwesternindustries.com

Multitasking Turning/Milling Center The S-10 multitasking turning/milling center has two tur- rets with 8 or 12-stations each and one main spindle and an optional subspindle. Multiple part-loading options, optional live spindles and turning-toolholders, and the subspindle can be selected as individual modules and combined to handle a wide range of part con- figurations and sizes. Part handling includes a choice of gantry loading, bar-feeding,

or manual loading. The main spindle provides standard turning, indexing for multiside milling, drilling, boring and threading, and full C-axis continuous motion for contour milling. In coordi- nation with the C axis, each turret is independently capable of simultaneous three-axis motion. Amada Machine Tools America Ph: 847-285-4800 Web site: www.amadamt.com
