he internet’s answer to radio has existed for more than a decade now, but it has recently exploded


with an astonishing range of choices. You can listen to your old favorites, explore obscure genres, or do anything in between. And the best part? You can listen for free. Just to be clear, what we


are talking about here are not physical radio sets but Internet-based services that send music to your computer, iPod, smartphone, or other digital device. The fee-free services do


have ads, but usually far fewer than commercial radio. You can play Internet radio on any device that has Web access. Pandora is the best-
