After leaving Rod, we headed to Lower Foyers, a picturesque village nestled between Loch Ness and the Falls of Foyers, to meet Briony’s daughter Molly. Molly was into photography and her mom
thought we’d hit it off. She was right. Molly is a bright 17-year-old redhead who loves fi shing, her grandparents, and her Nikon D40. She’d spent most of her life on the shores of Loch Ness, notwithstanding a one-year stint on a boat around the Isle
of Skye with her mom and dad.
We spent an afternoon getting to know Molly, her grandparents and her cousins. And Molly’s take on the
monster is simple: A long time ago, there was probably something to it, but now it’s just a legend. For the record, she fi nds the stuffed Nessies with the pink eyelashes pretty funny. And we do too.
A long time ago, I believe there was probably something to it. But now it’s just a legend.
