This quarter has been another busy one - so busy I didn’t even get time for a holiday! In fact so much has happened that we’ve
produced a ‘bulletin board’ at the back of this journal to keep you up to date.
I’m particularly keen to find more guest bloggers who want to write about issues relevant to physical therapists. Joe Brence, our US physical therapist, contributes monthly by reviewing and discussing the practical application of recently published research. So far he has covered: ‘When is pain more than a symptom?’ (June); ‘Taping and arm-crossing: just two other ways of managing arm pain’ (July); ‘Core balance vs. strengthening in individuals with chronic low back pain’ (Aug (reproduced in this issue)); and ‘How can we improve pain outcomes following total knee arthroplasties?’ (Sept). To keep updated just go to www.sportex.net/blog/
If you have a topic you would like to share with our 12,500 enewsletter readers, just email me a brief summary of what you’d like to cover in your post. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be technical, you can just send your text as a Word file (with accompanying pictures if appropriate) and I’ll do the rest. If you want to contribute something on a regular basis then we can also pay for these contributions.
