JAN 2012

Well again this is a bumper issue and while I know I’m biased, I do feel the issues just keep getting stronger. My job is to make sure

that keeps happening! We all appreciate by now that economic times are pretty tough which makes your continued support even more appreciated than usual. Thankfully we’ve had a great year which has allowed us to invest in adding value through the addition of the new CPD quiz and certificate areas, not to mention the upgrade of the website and the launch of the completely new support area (support.sportex.net). The iPad app should also be out by the time you read this.

So in terms of adding value to the articles, the feedback on the public/client/patient advice leaflets (I never quite know what to call them) was so good from the last issue that we’ve published two more in this issue, one on MTSS (p14) and one on SIJ pain (p34). The articles on both muscle injury and the spine, feature a number of animations to help bring the written material to life and on page 15 we have published one of the blog posts that appear monthly on our website, written by US physical therapist Joe Brence. You can subscribe to the blog by visiting www. sportex.net/blog.

In the meantime I wish you a very happy and healthy new year and bring on London 2012!
