advertising@ navynews.co.uk SOME DISTANT SHORE

An unsolicited testimonial in Yachting and Boating World for my 390 page novel ‘SOME DISTANT SHORE’.

‘For something a little different, I’ve just started reading ‘SOME DISTANT SHORE’ by Reg Osborn. About a third of the way through and finding it hard to put down. Reg was in the RN in WWII in the RN’s special forces. He was a member of the undercover ‘LEVANT SCHOONER FLOTILLA’ group which operated in the Aegean Sea on Turkish caiques, mostly using the smaller (30’-35’) Tricanderi type. Really fascinating reading and quite ‘real’ and raunchy in places! I’ve been reading it with an Aegean chart open to follow through where everything is happening and finding it quite fascinating as I’ve sailed to most of the islands and harbours mentioned.’

SOME DISTANT SHORE is available from Reg Osborn, 55 Norbury Hill, London SW16 3LA. Price £19.50 post included.
