Visitors to the Gardens in 2009 likely thought we had adopted a new uniform: orange and yellow vests and hard hats. Perhaps the most visible changes at the Gardens were the many construction projects, which were expertly orchestrated by the Operations Department in partnership with Phipps Construction Company. With environmental sustainability in mind, energy-saving strategies were incorporated into every aspect of each project. These projects are part of the historic transformation of the Gardens over the next several years, which will ensure that the institution continues to flourish.
