UP-CLOSE New SureFire Lights for 2016
could be down to as little as 15 lumens on the P2X, P3X and R1 Lawman or 100 lumens on the M600 Scout Light with IntelliBeam. IntelliBeam Technology always pro-
vides the right amount of light for the task at hand. It allows you to concen- trate on the task without having to fi d- dle with adjusting light output. This is a big advantage, especially in law enforce- ment or tactical scenarios. While more is generally better when
it comes to max output, if a fl ashlight is too bright, one of the problems that may be encountered (especially when search- ing unfamiliar areas) is backsplash. Backsplash can occur off of any refl ec- tive or semi-reflective surface. And, when it occurs, you can catch a lot of those refl ected lumens back in your face and potentially be temporarily blinded by them. All of the IntelliBeam lights are acti-
vated with a click-type tail cap. Press for momentary and press further until it clicks for constant-on. The auto-ad- justing IntelliBeam Technology mode is the default mode. To switch from In- telliBeam mode to max-output/tactical mode on the fl ashlight models, simply turn the light off and then back on within a second. The defaults to IntelliBeam Technology mode when it’s off for more than one second. The P2X Fury with IntelliBeam is pow-
ered by two 123A lithium batteries and delivers a max output of 600 lumens of perfectly focused light. Powered by three 123A batteries, the P3X Fury IntelliBeam has all of the features of the P2X Fury but with a 1,000-lumen maximum output. Both models feature a high-strength polymer precision-textured refl ector to deliver a smooth, comparatively wide beam with a brighter central area and generous peripheral light. The high- strength aerospace aluminum body is knurled for a comfortable, secure grip and is hard anodized to military specifi cations for extreme resistance to scratches, abrasion, and corrosion. The P2X Fury with IntelliBeam has a
tactical runtime of 1.5 hours. The P3X with IntelliBeam has a tactical runtime of 2.25 hours. SureFire defi nes tactical run- time as the runtime (at highest setting for multiple-output lights) until output drops below 50 lumens.

Lawman and Scout The rechargeable R1 Lawman LED fl ash- light is designed for law enforcement of- fi cers. It features a maximum output of 1,000 lumens. The Lawman is a dual-fuel capable light that has the ability to run on either its included rechargeable lithium- ion (li-ion) battery or two disposable or rechargeable 123A cells. The Lawman’s features a precision micro-textured re- fl ector and produces a smooth, wide beam with extensive reach and generous peripheral illumination that’s perfect for a broad range of law enforcement appli- cations. The R1 Lawman has a tactical runtime of 1.75 hours. The SureFire Scout Light needs no introduction. There’s a Scout Light for nearly any mission requirement and indi- vidual preferences. The Scout Lights are powerful, lightweight weapon-mounted lights that quickly and securely attach to any MIL-STD 1913 (Picatinny) rail via its integral thumbscrew clamp or optional SureFire RM45 Offset Rail Mount. Powered by two 123A lithium bat-
teries, the M600 Scout Light with Intel- liBeam has a max output of 600 lumens of tactical level light. As with the other IntelliBeam lights, it features a high- strength polymer precision-textured refl ector that delivers a smooth, compar- atively wide beam with a brighter cen- tral area and generous peripheral light
and a rugged, high-strength aerospace aluminum body. A remote tape switch with a 7-inch cable that provides fi nger- tip control is available separately. The M600 Scout Light with IntelliBeam has a tactical runtime of 1.5 hours.
XC1 Ultra-Compact Handgun Light The new XC1 WeaponLight is SureFire’s smallest and lightest weight weapon light. It was specifi cally developed to equip com- pact railed handguns with white light. As Joe Houser of SureFire stated, “The XC1 was not designed for tiny guns, but was designed to be tiny. In fact, it is designed for mid-size guns carried off-duty, in cases where the X300 extends beyond the barrel.” The XC1 features a high-performance
LED and special multifaceted refl ector that produces a wide, smooth 200-lumen MaxVision Beam. The XC1’s evenly dis- tributed beam pattern has no bright cen- ter hotspot and is ideal for maintaining situational awareness and identifying threats at close range. The XC1 has a rugged ultra-compact body constructed of lightweight aerospace alumi- num and hard anodized with a tough Mil- Spec fi nish. Measuring less than 2.5 inches long and weighing under two ounces, the XC1 is powered by a single AAA battery. The XC1 features ambidextrous switch- ing that provides both momentary-on and
