PINTS FOR PARKS
Good news for those thirsty for more green space—or just plain thirsty: Goose Island Beer Company is supporting The Trust for Public Land’s work on The 606, Chicago’s next great park and trail, by donating a portion of pro- ceeds from their Green Line Pale Ale. The brew’s more honey-hued than green, of course, but it earns its name with an environmentally con- scious manufacturing strategy that cuts carbon emissions and packaging waste. The exclusive ale is available only on draft in the Chicago area, so the next time you’re in the Windy City, be sure to raise a glass to The 606. When complete, this nearly three-mile-long elevated greenway—constructed on the site of an abandoned rail line—will connect thousands of northwest Chicago residents to new neigh- borhood parks and fun features like custom art. Cheers to that!
