adison’s Rich Lepping has been re-elected as the chairman of the United States Curling Association (USCA) Board of Directors.


T e USCA Board of Directors is comprised of 21 members elected


throughout the United States. “It’s an honor and privilege to serve the mem- bers, athletes and stakeholders as we continue to build this great sport,” Lepping said. “Having just fi nished an unprecedented season, winning fi ve medals at international competitions, we will build on this success and ready ourselves for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games.” Lepping, who also has served as president of the Wisconsin State Curling


Association, was elected board chairman in June 2015. As board chairman, Lepping, a member of the Madison Curling Club, will continue to work alongside the association’s chief executive offi cer, Rick Patzke. Duties in- clude setting all meeting and meeting agendas of the board and presiding over all meetings of the board. “I congratulate all of those individuals who were re-elected to these


USCA leadership positions, and value the skills, knowledge and dedication that they bring to this organization,” Patzke said. “I especially have appreci- ated working in close step with Rich over the past year, and was very pleased to see him re-elected as chairman for another term. We have made great


strides together so far, and his leadership through some tumultuous times has had a very positive impact on the USCA.” In addition, Courtney Schmidt (Gates Mills, Ohio) was elected vice


chairwoman of the Board. Other elections include Mark Swandby (Madi- son, Wis.) to continue serving as a USCA representative to the World Curling Federation; Bret Jackson (Milford, Mich.) to the Governance and Nominating Committee; and David Russell (La Crosse, Wis.) to the Judi- cial Committee.
