One hour including Q&A Session

Advancements in Robotics – How Collaborative Robotics Can Bring Manufacturing Back

to North America Robots are increasingly being used in a lot of new ways in markets they have never been before. Those new trends are especially visible in the area of small- and medium-size parts assembly and simple material handling tasks, where traditionally either low cost labor or hard automation were used.

Through some real life examples we will discover throughout the session that flexible and collaborative robotic automation manufacturing technologies and practices make “Made in the U.S.A.” a profitable strategic alternative to limited-use hard automation or outsourcing production to low-cost, distant countries.

Aendees will gain insight into:

> How collaborative robotic automation can deliver cost and quality advantages over hard automation and cheap, far flung outsourcing

> The range of applications that are most appropriate for collaborative robotic small- and medium-size part assembly, and simple material handling tasks.

> How companies that currently utilize robots have implemented the technology and are currently gaining a competitive advantage.

> The primary considerations that need to be addressed while researching and selecting the appropriate robotic system.
