Shrub and Landscape Roses FRAGRANT

CAPE DIAMOND™ Shrub / Climber

(Plant Patent #20814, Var: DARpellerin) One of the most disease resistant varieties in the rose world…and that’s no idle boast! Black spot, powdery mildew, rust and downy mildew – unheard of for this rose. Abundant clusters of pure pink, double fl owers have old-fashioned, spicy fragrance similar to Rosa spinosissima, the color con- trasting nicely against semi-glossy, rugosa- like, gray-green foliage. Grow this vigorous plant as a large, spreading shrub or train it as a climber. Bred in Canada, it has proven to be well-adapted to harsh winters, surviving without winter protection in Zone 3. Grown own root.

Height: 3½-5’ Petals: 35+ Flower Size: 3-4” Fragrance: Very spicy Hybridizer: Bédard, 2009

Cape Diamond™ BULL’S EYE Shrub

(PPAF, Var: PEJamore) T e culmination of over 60 years of hybridizing eff orts to cultivate a reblooming rose with an ‘eye’, this rose fi nally hit the target. An extremely novel cranberry-red blotch accents the base of each cream-ivory petal of these sweetly scented, semi-double blooms that keep their unique look until the very end. Like the once-blooming species from which it obtained the lovely blotch, this bushy, up- right shrub fi lled with abundant, grey-green leaves loves to grow and may require some pruning in order to keep it tamed, though superb blackspot resistance will keep it look- ing healthy. Grown own root.

Height: 4-5½’ Petals: 15 Flower Size: 2½-3” Fragrance: Moderate sweet spice Hybridizer: James, 2013
