JUST JOEY Hybrid Tea
Huge apricot blooms age to an acceptable buff when fully open. Shorter than average plants, almost as wide as high, are covered with mahogany tinted foliage. A great show rose in cool climates and the heavy substance of the petals allows it to open fully, showing fl uff y yellow stamens and holding for days. Exquisitely fragrant but tender in harsh winters. Don’t ask why ARS classifi es it as an orange blend. Voted world’s favorite rose in 1994.
LOVE Grandifl ora
(Var: JACtwin) One of the most striking ‘reverse’ roses, its high-centered, exhibition quality, scarlet-red blooms illuminated with incandescent white on the reverse side of the petals. Flushes of fl owers are borne throughout the season, either singly or in sprays, with fragrance that varies from mild to strong spice. Beautiful and long-lasting in a vase, but beware of the army of thorns lining the stems. Compact plants show good disease resistance.

(Var: KORlingo) T is superbly formed pure scarlet rose has such heavy substance that it seems to take for- ever to become full blown. Just barely large enough to qualify as an exhibition variety, but it makes up for it in pro- ductivity since its original destiny was a cut fl ower. Dark green, leathery foliage is so resistant to disease you almost know before you sniff that it isn’t going to be very fragrant. T e upright plants tend to build upon themselves during the summer and are thankfully quite hardy.
