Registration Open for 2017 Metalcasting Congress Attendee registration is now open for the 121st Met-
alcasting Congress to be held April 25-27 at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee. Metalcasting Congress is the largest annual North
American industry technical and management show where authors and presenters reveal the latest developments in casting industry research and production case studies. Te show also features exhibits, Cast in North America, and networking events. This year, Congress will feature a collection of AFS
Institute courses, The Hub, which is a centralized AFS- centered booth with bookstore, membership information andCasting of the Year winners on dispaly, and Keynote Speaker Harry Moser. AFS Marketing Conference Focuses on Improving Casting Sales More than 90 metalcasting industry sales and marketing
professionals attended the 2016 AFS Marketing and Selling of Castings Conference held Dec. 13-14 in Rosemont, Illinois. The conference focused on working to maximize
profits, in a time when business is flattening in many metalcasting facilities. Tis year’s conference featured keynote speakers Ryan
Dohrn and Edgar Papke. Dohrn’s presentation, 7 Ways to Drive Your Sales and Marketing Message, gave attendees tips for improving their sales messaging. Papke’s presenta-
tion: True Alignment: Linking your Company Culture and Team to your Customers’ Needs, focused on a customer- centric strategy for driving sales. The conference also featured topics: Bridging the
Communication Gap Between End Users and Their Casting Suppliers; Effective Social Media Strategies; and Acquiring Meaningful Return from Your Exhibiting Investmen. Tis conference typically is held every other year in December. Te previous conference was held in 2014.
