The CADS (Casting Alloy Data Search) Tool is a user-friendly web- based tool that provides validated material properties for common casting alloys. Current handbooks contain material properties solely in print format, generated with outdated test methods or lacking the pedigree information such as process, chemistry, etc. This web- based tool provides critical mate- rial properties to help design and manufacturing engineers select the correct alloy and casting process for each component. The mate- rial properties can be imported directly into CAE design and FEA programs. New data is being added from AFS research projects, and recently generated data sets include strain life fatigue properties.
