COLLEGIATE CLUB NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS TEAM AWARDS
• Women’s team score will be determined by adding top (4) female scores from their team in the Olympic-distance race with the top (1) female score from the Collegiate Draft Legal. The highest women’s team score will win the Women’s Team Competition. In case of a points tie, the team with the best-placed female finisher in the Olympic- distance race will win. • Men’s team score will be determined by adding top (4) male scores from their team in the Olympic-distance race with the top (1) male score from the Collegiate Draft Legal. The highest men’s team score will win the Men’s Team Competition. In case of a points tie, the team with the best-placed male finisher in the Olympic-distance race will win. • If granted qualification from their conference, athletes may race in both the Olympic- distance and draft-legal races, and their scores from both races may be used to construct a women’s/men’s team score. • To encourage clubs to educate their athletes of the USAT competitive rules and prevent drafting at the national championship, if the top (7) Women/Men finishers from their club in the Olympic race are assessed (3) or more drafting and/or blocking penalties, their respective Women’s/Men’s Club Score will be assessed an additional (-500) point penalty. Although only the top 4 score, we go 7 deep to prevent athletes 5-7 from taking turns pulling their top 4, and dissuade intentionally dropping out of the top 4 if you are assessed a penalty. • Overall Team Score will be determined by adding the women’s team score with the men’s team score. In case of a points tie, the team with the most points from their first-placed male & female combined will win. If still tied, the combined scores of the progressively lower ranked (second, then third …) male & female will be used. • Overall Team Score will be determined by adding the women’s team score with the men’s team score. In case of a points tie, the team with the most points from their first-placed male & female combined will win. If still tied, the combined scores of the progressively lower ranked (second, then third …) male & female will be used. • Top-three teams from the Mixed Team Relay race will be honored at awards ceremony but will not factor into the overall team score, in addition to top Combined Team in the Armed Forces category will be honored at the awards ceremony.
