MIXED TEAM RELAY INFORMATION EVENT INFO AND REGISTRATION
There will be 65 mixed team relay team spots available, accommodating participation of 260 athletes. Each team will be comprised of two women and two men from the same collegiate club team. This event is draft legal and will follow draft-legal triathlon rules; however, the lap out will not be enforced.
The organization of composite teams is allowed provided they are associated with a school and conference and are USA Triathlon annual members through the date of the event. Each conference is allocated a certain number of teams they can bring to the event as follows (please note these can change): NECTC-8, MECTC-7, MWCTC-7, NWCTC-1, WCCTC-5, MCTC-4, SMWCTC-6, SECTC-4, FCTC-4, MACTC-10 (see Page 58 for conference key).

First Place: $1,500 ($375 per athlete) Second Place: $1,250 ($312.50 per athlete) Third Place: $1,000 ($250 per athlete) Fourth Place: $750 ($187.50 per athlete) Fifth Place: $499 ($124.75 per athlete)
SUBSTITUTIONS
The team captains are allowed a maximum of three injury- or performance-related substitutions following the conclusion of the Olympic-distance race on Saturday, April 22. Substitutions must be delivered to race management at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater stage by 2:30 p.m. on race day. No substitutions will be accepted after this time for any reason, including injury or illness discovered after this time. Substitutes must have competed in the championship or the open wave or be registered for the team relay already. Teams short one or two athletes due to the withdrawal of a teammate(s) will be allowed to start the competition, but will not be given an official result.
RELAY NUMBERING
USA Triathlon will assign the starting position randomly. The order by which each athlete completes the relay will be requested by USA Triathlon at the time of team registration and may be altered only in the case of substitutions when replacing an injured or ill athlete.
