TIMING CHIPS - DISPOSABLE
Timing chips are disposable and will be included in your race packet at check-in. Simply dispose of your timing chip at the end of your race; there is no need to turn it in. Timing chips must be worn around an ankle and under your wetsuit leg if the race is wetsuit legal. Do not place on top of your wetsuit. We highly encourage chip placement on your left ankle to avoid interference with your bike chain ring. Visit
www.usatriathlon.org/usatcn17 for a visual diagram on fastening your chip.
WRISTBANDS
At packet pick-up, athletes will be given a wristband that must be worn during the race. The wristband will give athletes access to the athlete village on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22. This wristband also will allow athletes into transition at bike check-in Friday and Saturday mornings. For the safety of the athletes and their gear, no one will be allowed into transition without a wristband.
